HELP WITH EMISSIONS COMPONENTS...
Does anybody know where I can find some detailed information on the original emissions equipment for my 77 F-150. I think it originally came with a 400m, 2 barrel, and has a gvw of 6050 (heavy duty). I'm trying to get my truck ready for an Emissions inspection, but it has none of the emissions components, it has a non-egr intake and 4 barrel edelbrock. To sum it all up I will need to find the stock manifold, carb, air cleaner, breather valve, and exhaust rail. I wasn't sure how similar the setups were on other 400m trucks, and if the parts where swap-able from year to year (as far as inspections go).

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 26-Jul-02 AT 02:36 PM (EST)]I have a '77 F150 with 351M engine and 3 speed on the column. It has no EGR, no air pump, and straight ported vacuum to the distributor. This is a 49 state emissions package. I would advise you to round up a stock air cleaner and hook up the heated intake air snorkle along with the vacuum lines to the air flap on the air cleaner. It should pass ok then.The inspection guys go a lot by stock appearances.

Where do you live? Is it a fedral truck or a calif. truck? You should be able to contact any smog station ande they should be able to tell you what you need for your specific truck. Leadmic
