Crankcase Capacity
I need to know if my crankcase holds 5 or 6 quarts with the filter because I broke the dipstick when changing the motor and dont want to overfill the engine, especially during the break-in period.

I always thought it was 6 total with a filter change. Our 79 F-150 with a 351M always takes 7 total
