I have never heard of "BG". Are you sure it isnt "BP"? In that case, BP makes Castrol motor oil and they have a few gas stations around here, I never had any problems with their products, used castrol for a long time, dont know if they would be rated as excellant though.

"BG Products" has a bunch of additives. Around here, Pat Goss of PBS's Motorweek advertises them quite a bit. It's only sold in repair shops, I'm led to believe. Probably overpriced and over hyped too.

I've never used them, so can't advise their good or bad points, if any.

I've used several of their products. A fuel system cleaner and a intake cleaner. I thought they worked pretty good, prices on the stuff is pretty high compared to other brand similar products, I luck out and get them at cost from a friend that has a shop. Generally the only place to get them is a shops, although there is a small mom and pop parts shop that also carries them.

I've used their "Syncroshift" manual transmission fluid. Good stuff, but I had to mail order it. They also make the equipment to flush auto transmissions and rack-n-pinion steering units.
