Transmission help

Hey guys. I did a search and did really find anything that would help me. I have a stock 460 hooked to a c6 ( Automatic anyhow ). I have what I see as being a T-18, if it is not it looks a bunch like it, from a 351 M.

I want to put the T-18 on the 460. I have no problem replacing the clutch with a heavy duty untit, but will it work? Will everything bolt up, will I be chewing up clutches.Will the 4 speed work with an automatic crank? I have all the other parts I would need for the conversion, pedals, linkage, and all.

Please help.

If this is possible and you have done it, what did you do?

I am not desperate, just ignorant.

If anyone would mind helping me out, that would be awesome

Ok I am assuming this is a 78 or older 460 if its not dont use this combo. Here is what I used.

1979 351m bellhousing

390 flywheel

Luk clutch set part# 07-050 [ this fits a 77-82 400m 12inch] you could use another type but it must be a 12inch diaphram not 3 finger type

Mr. Gasket BBC flywheel bolts [shorter heads]

This combo worked for me with no problems at all.
