Dome / Interior light override help
Does anyone have a wiring diagram showing what/where the trigger wire is that turns on the interior lights when you open the doors?
I did this mod on my 04 and it worked great. I put a switch in the trigger wire and voila, no more dome light on every time I open the doors. Simple flick of a switch and the dome light worked again.
I would like to do this same mod on my 2011 but need to know what wire to switch and that wire's location.
A huge thanks to anyone that can help me out!!

Funny, I was just looking up something for someone in the SD forum, basically asking for a dome light wiring diagram.

Thanks guys! I found a wiring diagram shortly after I posted this thread and have since cut the feed wire to the dome lights and they are now powered by an upfitter switch.
It drives me absolutely crazy that the dome light comes on every time I open the door. All the technology in these trucks and you can't over ride a dome light? Amazing!
