1998 E-Superduty, no heat

I was wondering if anyone can answer why I would not be getting any heat in the cab. All the controls seem to be working fine. The temp. guage reads normal as always. There seems to be hot water in both of the heater core lines. Maybe a heater controll solonoid? If so where would it be located. The Van also has a/c that works

Welcome to FTE. I'm not familiar with the 98. What kind of controls do you have? Have you been running the ac and now want to switch to heat, but it still runs cold?

I'm not really sure by what you mean by what kind of controlls, but there are three turn controlls. Blower moter, temp controll, and position controll. The mornings here are starting to leave dew on the windows andits hard to get rid of without any heat, I havent used the a/c for about a month. Its not blowing cold a/c it just seems to blow luke warm air

Try checking the ***** themselves. Sometimes they wear on the back and the **** will turn but not the actual control. Turn the center **** all the way to heat. Then pull the **** off and see if you can turn it any farther with needle nose pliers. Do a search on the "blend door". That could also be a problem. I'm not sure where your solonoid is but it could also be a problem. Do you have a manual?

Well I took a look at it again today, the controls all seem to be in good workng order but it seems I have no vaccum up to the switch. The only way to open the blend door is manually or to run a different vaccum line from the engine and hook it up to the accuator. The only manual I have is a Haynes it it doesent say a whole lot especially for a deisel

Well now I went to a dealership, I have vaccum at all the acuators and the switches at the right times. The blend doors open as they should. But still no heat. Im going to try to replace the cool - warm switch tommorrow.......Any other ideas?
