Thanks! What about tire size? If I can't find a good price on wheels, I need to replace at least the front tires. Someone told me 750x16. Would this be correct? I am about to take a 2300 mile trip to get this truck from my HOME in WA to my HOUSE in OK. This could be interesting as it has been sitting for 6 years.
7.50x16 should be correct. Radial size in current tires would probably be LT235/85R16.
On edit, if it currently has bias ply tires, it would be best to find bias ply tires to put on the front. However, depending on the shape of the rear tires, and the length of the trip, it would probably be safer to replace all tires.

Can you have some one check all the tires condition on the truck?
Have them check and write down all the tires sizes? Have them write down the tire sizes and on what side of the the truck, on of the one which have gone bad. (example Front right -passenger side, rear left - rear driver side)
73 f250 w/o splits would likly be 9.50 x16.5 LT the splits were 7.50 x 16 LT if I wanted to find inexspensive wheels I'd look for a set of 16 in tubeless of an 80 or later f250 with the 1/2in lug studs some of the f250s and all of the f350 had had 9/16 lug studs and used a bigger lug nut your 73 has the 1/2 inch studs
