Squeeky Seats
2001, XLT, 4x4 with captains chairs, leather int... Both of my seats are squeeking like an old sofa, I think its the back part of the seat. If anyone over 100 lbs gets in they squeek like crazy over bumps. Any one else had this prob and opened them up and repaired this? If so let me know if you have any tips...

This is a common problem with these seats. There have been a few posts on here about them. I had the same problem with my driver's side, but it seems to have gone away. Its not a fix, but I was able to tune it out by adjusting the lumbar support. I haven't heard of a fix but it was posted on here that there is a weak support in the backrest that cracks or breaks causing the squeaking noise.

thats what it sounds like... i adjust the lumbar and it helps on the driver side, but my passenger seat doesnt have lumbar adjustment... its so annoying to have that thing squeek like an old jeep every time I go over bumps!
