I am missing a part in my left door called the "GLASS RUN" in the 54-55 Shop Manual.
I initially thought it might be part of an "anti-rattle" kit but it's absent from mine.
I also thought it might be in one of the catalogs like Mid Fifty, Sac Vintage etc but they don't show it(actually Sac Vintage shows it on page 290 but there's no part number associated with it).
Joblot shows it, part #21570 in the illustration, but they don't show it in their list.
Clearly I'll have to find one from one of my esteemed FTE members or I'll have to raid my neighbor's '55 up the street when he's not home!
Dagnab it! I thought I replied to this and must've closed it before sending!
Well, anyway,
No I don't think so...I don't think it's connected to the regulator per se' It's the channel that is at the lower-back part of the window glass that bolts to the door with 1 phillips head machine screw at the top and 2 at the bottom. The back part of each window slides in it.
There's one in each door and it appears that they are left/right specific. I found one at the neighbors house but it was in the left door......I need the right one! I might be able to remove and re-weld the lower bracket back on but I'd sure like to find the correct one!

These are called glass runners in the Dennis Carpenter Catalog, about $30 each side, but my catalog is a little old. Online MidFify inventory seemed to only have Hot rod styles, but I bet you could call. LMC truck sells them individually or as a whole door glass kit
I cannot find my LMC catalog. I'll check their website. Midfifty didn't show it but maybe I could just call them as you suggest!
Thanks again,
Rick

However, I found a place in CA that has acres of old Ford truck parts. He told that he has 1000 doors alone!
He's also got big truck parts like F-800 fenders etc! (I'm in heaven!!) He of course has the part I'm looking for(about 30 of them!) And he said that he can ship nation wide just about any part I need. If I cannot find the 2 speed axle I need I might just have to get one from him... big dollar shipping but when you need it you need it!
Anyway, It's Bob's F-100 Parts in Riverside, CA 704-786-8139. Pretty nice guy on the phone and he hooked me right up.
