take down, your fishin pole, and meet me by the fishin hole. we might not get a bite all day, but don't you run away. wether it's hot, wether it's cool, oh what a spot, for whistlin like a fool!

for those of you who are wondering why i just wrote that, i just got done reading the message line "the system sucks". I have to agree with both sides on this one. Considering I come from an ethnic group that is predominately racist, my position my come as a suprise. Fonz is right, in my belief, that other, and often as not illegal, ethnic groups steal jobs from natural born citizens of this great nation. but on the other hand, webmaster & mex are also right in that everyone of us are, in some part, just as foreign as todays immigrants. On this issue, can we make a peace? sit down and talk face to face with those who offend you most... they might suprise you.... then again, you may still hate him, but in the end, it's worth a shot.

Can you please enlighten me on which ethnic group you consider to be "predominately racist"? It's been my experience that racism is related to ignorance, stupidity, culture, even greed but not ethnicity. Maybe it is genetic, we just need to isolate the right DNA sequence, call it the KKK factor, and we can wipe it off the face of the planet.

Certainly. I am refering to those people whom are viewed by most of society as being rednecks. We are more often than not, viewed to be stereotypically racist, whether it be from a southern upbringing, or the preconcieved notion that all rednecks are ignorant (please see my post on rednecks). I am not saying that we are all racist, I'm saying that it has been my experience that the misconception of redneck racism is fairly commonplace. perhaps it is the KKK gene, perhaps it's any number of things. my point is, why is it there? and are we willing to work around it?

If I have offended anyone, I apologize... I am merely stating my views and beliefs.

Well being caucasian I will say that I don't consider my ethnic group to be predominatley racist. I also can't say that I classify "Redneck" as it's own ethnic group as I've never seen the option "R" for race on any forms. However I can categorically state that I have an extremely low tolerance for people who have their heads firmly wedged in their nether regions regardless of their skin color or country of origin. Of course that's a totally subjective evaluation based on whatever personal filters I use to view the person.

ropinthwind1! Both You and our friend Fonz are seriously wrong! For you I have hope since you can agree with parts of both sides of the immigration issue. That makes you a thinking individual. Congratulations. Welcome to the Human race! Now can we get back to talking about Fords? Please?

Hi All,

Two pennies worth. The truth is any group we perceive to be doing better than ours WE don't like. Could it be that it is about US not THEM. There is room for all. Hopefully, THEY all drive Ford Trucks.
