Peace Activists
"Peace Activists" who will try and convince us that we must refrain
from retaliating against the ones who terrorized us all on September 11, 2001, and those who support terror.
These activists may be alone or in a gathering most of us don't know how to react to them. When you come upon one of these people, or one of their rallies, here are the proper rules of etiquette:
1. Listen politely while this person explains their views. Strike up a
conversation if necessary and look very interested in their ideas.
They will tell you how revenge is immoral, and that by attacking the people who did this to us, we will only bring on more violence. They will probably use many arguments, ranging from political to religious to humanitarian.
2. In the middle of their remarks, without any warning, punch them in the nose.
3. When the person gets up off of the ground, they will be very angry and they may try to hit you, so be careful.
4. Very quickly and calmly remind the person that violence only brings about more violence and remind them of their stand on this matter. Tell them if they are really committed to a nonviolent approach to undeserved attacks, they will turn the other cheek and negotiate a solution. Tell them they must lead by example if they really believe what they are saying.
5. Most of them will think for a moment and then agree that you are correct.
6. As soon as they do that, hit them again. Only this time hit them
much harder. Square in the nose.
7. Repeat steps 2-5 until the desired results are obtained and the idiot realizes how stupid of an argument he/she is making.
8. There is no difference in an individual attacking an unsuspecting
victim or a group of terrorists attacking a nation of people. It is
unacceptable and must be dealt with. Perhaps at a high cost.
We owe our military a huge debt for what they are about to do for us and our children. We must support them and our leaders at times like these. We have no choice. We either strike back, VERY HARD, or we will keep getting hit in the nose. Lesson over, class dismissed!
I support our Troops!
I have, and I disagree wholeheartedly with your approach.
Defending the Constitution of the United States of America means defending ALL of it, including the 1st Amendment.
The right to freedom of speech is every bit as important as any other right (if not MORE important). Take that right away from just one person, and all the soldiers who have died in any war for America have fought for nothing! You don't have to agree with the activist, and many don't, but he isn't a threat to your way of life. Maybe you shouldn't be a threat to his (or you shouldn't suggest other do so).
And trust me, you don't want to hit me in the nose for disagreeing with you here.
Steve
Regarding your statment:
Defending the Constitution of the United States of America means defending ALL of it, including the 1st Amendment.
I couldn't agree more, but what some of the anti-war activists are doing is true sedition. Yes they do have the right to free speech and the right to assemble and protest but in our heighten state of security they are underminding the effectiveness of our police departments. The Police Departments are forced to address their lawless behavior and this kepts them from the task at hand, which is to thwart any possible act of terrorism. So yes they are a threat to my life and I take it personally.
Additionally this post is very obviously a farce.
If they are not breaking the law, then there can be no "but" about it. We are talking about free Americans here.
Think about it this way, if we start shutting down the first amendment for an atrocity brought onto us by terrorists, then they won. They accomplished their goal, and that is to disrupt our way of life on a large scale. I don't personally agree with the protestors, and I am in full support of the troops, but I am also in full support of those folks rights as American citizens to speak their minds (lawfully).
Understand, I am not saying that I feel the right to free speech means the right to break laws. I was simply addressing the post about punching people in the nose after engaging them in a conversation, getting their trust and beating them.
Steve
note: I knew this was not a "serious" thread, and I don't normally post in these threads (too emotional). But, I felt that the original post condoned public beating of someone for their opinion, not their actions.... and that is how it is written.
