code p1211 with and with out programer help please
ive been getting this code in my truck since i bought it 2 years ago. took to dealer last year and they checked everything and came to the conclusion it was the pcm so i replaced. i would only get the code when towing up a pass. well about a year later i installed a 6 inch lift and 37 inch tires and got the check enging light and code p1211 back whe starting up a pass towing. then i added a diablo predator programer 40hp setting and can get the code quicker empty accelerating up the highway????? can anyone give me some info on this. thanks les

I have this same code at WOT high boost going up hills, and occasionally on flats. I carry my Predator tuner with me. Almost everytime it will set this code. But on the 3rd time the check engine light will come one. I wish I knew how to get rid of it with a fooler, but the only way now is just to delete the code with the Predator. You can clear it while driving down the highway if it bothers you and the check engine light will go off immediately. There is no injury to the PCM because I called Diablo up to confirm this. Mine is always set on 100hp.
I've noticed trucks with chips do not get this code, but I could be wrong. If a chip can program this code out, then a chip may be an alternative you can try.

Diablo considers this code normal, and it doesn't decrease the performance when set. I agree it's just an annoyance. I just clear it when I have a chance to. I hate codes and check engine lights. Good thing we don't have to get smoged. That would then be a huge worry with codes.
