towing with the edge juice with attitude
I am interested in getting the edge juice with attitude for my 2002 7.3. My main question is on the position settings is one designated for towing, as I will be towing a 30 foot tag toy hauler. I do not have any mods done except for the quick filter. With no other mods will I have a problem or will this unit work good for this application. All your help would be appreciated.

yeah, i have exactly what you want. i have the kwik filter, with a 4'' MBRP exhaust. i drive around on settings 4-5 blowing the smoke, my lieometer still reads 21mpg+. i know it isnt accurate but it cant be far off. i was at 15.7 before the chip. it made a world of difference. i say that when you get a 4'' exhaust, you could be able to run on settings 3-4 and be okay. since it has the backdown feature, it will defuel if the EGTs get above your preset level. if you seem to be hitting the EGT limit and you defuel alot, i would bump it back down a notch, and that will inturn lower your EGT's. PM me if you have any questions about the product. i got mine new for $569 off ebay

Just2dune,
Yes the second level if memory serves is the tow setting. Here's the beauty of the Edge J/A though. It has the safety defueling feature so you can tow in any level and know you're keeping EGT's in check. You will generally get better MPG's in the higher setting towing or not, so go there to save fuel costs. The timing is more advanced and helps w/MPG. Get teh Edeg installed and tow for a 1000 or so miles, then see what your EGT's are based on the lackof mods your truck has. If you consistently over 1000 conmsider exhaust and then an Intake system to drop 175-225 degrees.
Give us a call if you have any questions, we'll be glad to help.

Setting 2 is for towing. Plus the Attitude has digital reading for EGT, backdown, etc. I honestly can't feel 10K lbs behind this truck. I am going to stack the E/A with the Evolution so I have better control of how this AOD shifts. I managed to squeeze out 21.5 mpg (no load) the other day on a 120 mile trip. I had it set on "race".

i consistently see 20.5-21 mpg out of the lieometer. just filled it up today, so when i get this tank down i will hand calculate it. i run around on setting 4 (race) too, and i think i need the sonnax/tricumulator. under heavy acceleration (defuel shifts) you can barely hear the transmission shift. from 2-3, and 3-4 it just stays pegged around 2900 RPM and speed just dramatically increases. i want to hear/feel it shift. i want to chirp on shifting 3-4 LMAO.
