Unhappy steering issues

i bought a basket case 69 ... make one truck out of two deal ... lol
with the help of f.t.e ,, an understanding girl friend .. and a few bucks it is back to a running state and resembles a truck again ... but i have a few more bugs that need working out ..
1,,, i converted over to power steering form what ive read on here it is the bendex system ... its very wondersome and wants to puke fluid out of the fill cap tell it wines ..

2 i also converted over to power brakes (disc is in the want ideas ) but thay dont feel to powerey (lol @ power ey dont belive its scrable leagle ) ther not rock hard feeling like a bad booster but not caddy like feeling eather .. i know its a truck but having not driven this one before im not shure what ther supose to feel like but thay dont feel like my dodges eather .. who knows thay might be just the way thay are ..

3 raidator pressure ??? before it warms up like after just a minute theirs pressure in the radiator im not thinking headgasket cuz it doesnt warm up to quickey .. exhust isnt sweet smelling nor is their watter in the oil .. it has a 13 pound cap doesnt puke out .. runs 180 in stop light traffic when shut off will climb to 220 ish on a sun pro guage no not nasa qualty but better than a light ... lol

4 light above e brake stays on all the time ... but brakes feel fine ??? hope every ones haveing a great weekend .... russ

#1 no answer. My bendix is leaking so I'll know more soon
#2 I had power brakes and converted to disc's in the front. It stops fine even with a leaking booster but not like my new truck does
#3 Check your thermostat or lack of one
#4 The light above the ebrake is telling you That you are having brake problems not that your ebrake is on
Some one smarter than me will be a long shortly to help ya better I'm sure and good luck

#1 Both my trucks came with power steering, but my '70 used tons of fluid. It kept whining like it wanted more even when full. Turned out the king pins were bad. They didn't want to turn. I replaced those and my troubles went away. I'm not saying that's your problem, just something to check. BTW, after I changed the king pins, the passenger side front cab mount collasped and dropped the cab to the right, putting pressure on the steering column. Of course, the problems came back. While I was trying to find a new cab to work on that problem, I came accross a new truck and bought that. (A new set of problems, but at least not rusty.)
#2 Both my trucks have power brakes, but they're harder pedals than I'm used to. They both stop fine and don't pull one way or another so I just deal.
#3 I run at 160, in stop and go, at 95 outside temp. When I shut off it climbs to close to 220 'cuz the fan shuts off. When I restart, temp goes back down. Maybe thermostat is sticking or the wrong temp?
#4 The light above E-brake should go on at start and then go off. If it stays on it's telling you that the proportioning valve is not set correctly, or that there is a problem with pressure in the brake lines. This needs to be reset after a brake job.

knight thanks for the info ... i feel the same about the brakes work as well as drums would expect to i guess.. but yes harder than i thought thay might when compaired to newer .. on the powere stereing though i cant argue the king pin issue ..but when i had the frount clip and motor out ,, stering disconeted .. it wasnt all that hard to steer ... used vise grips on the shaft once to load it on a flat bed in fact .. for some reason it just wants to pump/puke the pump dry at least to a point where it cant be read on the stick and starts wineing .. i rember something about reseting the valve .. u push a pin in right ???? when i got it the front left wheel cyl. went bad and ate the shoes also both front flex hoses were bad and replaced ... i want to fix it not remove the bulb lol
