Weird knock heard..

I have a 89 f-150 8 ft bed 4 x 4 single cab. I just noticed that when i turn right i hear a knocking noise coming from the middle to rear of the truck, it only does it when I turn right. Any Ideas what to look for??

Thanks

Rich

Hows your bed bolts holding up? I've seen some come loose and when the truck flexes it causes a klunk...

My F-250 does it, most often when turning right into a driveway with a hump to it.

Another possibility could be the rivets that hold - or at least used to hold - your crossmember under the transimission to the frame rails. These have been known to pop out every once in a while, which of course causes the crossmember to flex and create a popping or knocking sound when turning corners.

Let us know what you find out!

Cheers!
