03 mirrors

My wife wiped out the passanger side mirror on our expy this moring while backing out of the garage.

This is not the first time the mirrors have been hit but it is the first time that one was damaged.

I am wondering if anyone has some experiance with the power folding mirrors on the 05 expy or 03 and later navi. Could I buy an 05 mirror with the power fold motor and wire it to function in my truck?

i thought ford no longer made the power fold mirrors?

Power folds are available on the Expy Limited. The other Expy models are not wired for the power folds.

I don't know about the Navigator.

I sure would like to have them on my 03 EB.

i didn't see one for the 2003 but i saw expedition 1997-2002 models having available power mirrors on partstrain.

is there any fitting issues for the former models. you should be able to check that out. do 2nd gens expy have same body styles?

The doors are the same 97-05 but the mirrors changed 03.

Im wondering if I can swap some 03 Mirrors on my 98, if the doors havent changed I should be able to swap mirrors. Right?

They still make the power fold mirrors but they stopped the memory feature because they had too many probems with it.

I just want to know electricaly what I might need to make the power folding mirror motor function?

What I need to know is what color wire does what. I have 03/04 mirrors that I'm going to put on my 97 however I don't know what wire does what. I can take it apart and figure it out but if someone knows what the wiring code is then I don't have to pull them apart. These mirrors have a puddle light, a turn single light, a heated mirror, and of course it is powered. Thanks for your help.
