Hi-
I'm going to order the Energy suspension bushings for my '76 F250 4x4(existing are cracked and mushroomed-not good) from Summit. How should I tackle this project? If I can't reuse the bolts can I replace them with grade 8? Thanks for looking.
I am in middle of the same thing. you need to make sure that you do not destroy the metal pieces that slip inside the mounts. the bushing set id great but you will have to reuse the sleeves and bolts to get proper fit. and don't do like me and decide to find out just how good the new sawzall is
you can use a grade 8, but you don't have to. the energy
suspension are not anything special. if i did it again
i would just get new rubber ones or find some in good
shape if you can, i've found clean one on trucks before.
but i did find all new metal sleeves that were in perfect
shape and had them jet-hot coated so they would never rust.
keeping the water from sitting between the rubber and the body
is the hardest thing. so good luck everyone!
