rear shackles
I'm currently working on a restoration project, and ive been working on the frame and i heard about lifting the rear of the truck by flipping the rear shackles on the frame... So i had to torch the thing off the frame, and then i had to heat out the bushings... i went to the automotive store and asked for a rear shackle bushing to replace mine, and the gentleman told me they cant be replace, i have to buy the whole metal shackle kit for $40, instead of just the bushing. It was only a metal hole with a bushing on it when i took it off the truck, so my question to you guys is what do i have to replace, and how much do you think it should cost???? sorry for the length of this message, and thanks......
