save your $$$ Westin's SUCK I had a pair of the black powder coated ones and they completely rusted through in one year.....cant find recipt so no warranty.....my brother had the chrome ones they lasted two years before rusting through
if you haven't already done so, don't buy the Westin's, the Platinum Series are crome over stainless. if you want Polished stainless go with Smittybuilt, Nasta, Luverne, or Bully. I have been shopping and learned about the Westins.
I like my Westin Platinum Series... the plastic "steps" broke off a few weeks ago and both were replaced entirely under warranty. I think the warranty is lifetime, which is why they're a little expensive (still cheaper than factory). Chrome over stainless means they don't rust.
I have a set of the platinum series chrome over stainless and so far they are working out well, considering the daily salt baths in PA. I would like to have the front pads set back a little farther, but they are non slip.
I have the Westin Platinum series on my 03 F150. They have been great to date and can't imagine not having them. I did recently move to the Western MD and it has snowed most everyday for the last 4 weeks and that means plenty of salt and road abraisive and such and not likely I will be able to wash the truck for some time. I will try to remember to start a thread in the spring and let everyone know how they held up after this winter.
