Progress
Got my slabs poured this week, ordered "quicky up" carports all sided in, should take 3-5 weeks to get them here, cool thing is it only takes these guy a few hours to have them up. So hopefully I'll have cover by Novemeber before the rains start to come. I actually had 4 other pours done as well for the barn, pumphouse and some walk/drive work done...all added up to roughly 2700 sq/ft of concrete.
So, wife says she'll by me a digi camera for my B'day coming up, so I'll take some pic's of the '36 getting in various stages of demo, then rebuilding/upgrading. I still have time to figure out if I'll go with the chromed dropaxle I have or a M2 front suspension. The DA will look good, but the M2 will ride sooo much better.
Correction on the amount of concrete I had poured, it was 2200sq.ft., not 2700.
More "shop" progress, I put the deposit down on the "quikie ups", and I should be covered (pun intended) by Early November.
Now I just need to start clearing a path from my Dad's shop to my place to get the '36 out. I've got all the fenders/hood/tinware off of it, so might just pull the bed and cab and put it in the barn, then just roll the suspension over and start from there to minimize clutter.
I HATE WIRING!!!!!!!
Way too many and only a couple of years ago I had none.
Right now I need to get in contact with someone around the Fresno / Merced Area that can help me with this 1984 V6 AT . Body inside and out is in great shape. I basically need a rolling frame with a rebuilt engine, trannys and brakes in dependable condition. Everything else I've got. I'm not to smart as far as mechanics go, but I'm fair game for most everything else.
If there is anyone out there in and around the Madera area that could help It would sure be appreciated.

I don't mind changing grilles, fenders, interiors, (body stuff) but whole engines scare me.
I've come across rusted out bronco's that have great engines, trannys, and solid frames (supposedly), that would work perfectly to switch parts, but the horses are all back east.
I hear ya on the oldies and the smog issue. I'm currently having fun with a '66 slant 6. Don't mind practicing on her cause she didn't cost much of nothin to begin with.
I came across a nice 86 bronco II, AT ,V6 in the Mariposa area. Engine and tranny just rebuilt, new paint job with clear coat, 190,000 miles....
but he wants 2.4K for it.
Last year I took a drive up in the Auberry area (wrestling tournament) and it seemed every other house had a bronco...course none of them were for sale. I've been lookin for more than a year..don't mind the wait. An opportunity will pop up somewhere.

22x36 w/10 foot sides. I just had a double open ended one erected, with both ends open. They couldn't get me a large enough door, so I'll use the 12ft roll up I have and frame it up. Today I'm starting on framing the other end to my existing garage. I hate working with wood, but I have a plan!!!
Once the wind/weather/rain side is attached to my old garage, I'll start welding a front in to hang my rollup to. After the doors on, then in comes the '36.
I figure if things go according to plan, my wife won't see me until springtime
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Mostly painting and restoring parts and paint, on parts.
I refurbed my own Ford wheel covers a couple of months back.
And painted my engine, stock factory colors.
Needs to be cleaned, but it looks sharp right now.
that's about it.
Put a new tripometer speedo in the truck, etc... painted the needles again.
etc.
