Question Drive shaft angle?

As most already know I have put 16 leaves on each side of my 78 for about 4.5" of lift. I want to get a 2.5" cast iron lift block too. I have new Spicer U-Joints that are greasable. Will the drive shaft angle prove to much? If so How do I correct that?-maybe with a center carrier bearing drop bracket? I will get 4"lift springs so that that should lessen the d shaft angle because the way it sts now it's kinda raked. The back it 4.5" higher so if I level it the d shaft angle will lessen right. Then in goes the 2.5" blocks & extended brake line.

blocks are a no-no, and raising the front wont help your rear d shaft angle at all. you could try some shims to reposition the pinion angle if you have a problem with it.

Dustin, if you don't have any blocks back there yet you'll be okay to add a 2.5" block. Just don't stack the 2.5's on top of another block. You won't know about the u-joint angle until you actually get the block in. Easiest thing to do if you need to adjust the angle is to get an angled block. They make them with a few degrees cast into the block so it'll correct the angles. Otherwise you can also buy degree shims (get steel, not aluminum).
