trouble codes help

I just did a scan on my 92 f-150 351w. It came back 311 air system inoperative during KOER test BANK 1..... Can someone tell me what exactly that means? The last scan i did gave an egr flow problem i believe 332 i cleared it and did another scan and it came back 311.


*I posted in the windsor forum aswell but no replies as of yet*

That would be the smog (air) pump maybe?

Sounds like one of the vacuum solenoids for the air pump system is not working.
Bank 1 is the bank with cylinder #1 which is the passengerside.

Do you think my chiltons will have the solenoids listed? Air pump...is that the "AIR INJECTION system" ? How can i tell if the smog pump is bad?

Air pump is the air injection system. I think what that means is that it tried to dump air in the exhaust manifold end of it, and the O2s didn't show lean. Was the truck fully warmed up first?

Sorry for such a long delay internets been down. Um....I think the vehicle was pretty warm, Maybe ill try to clear the code and run it again and see if it comes up.
