I have a 1997 f250 cc swb 4x4. Have 4" exhaust diablo flip chip 90,78,stock.
open element air filter. Just doesn't seem very quick and no black smoke. I had black smoke before the 4" went on. Exhaust has no muffler but has cat.
Anyone have any advise. I like the black smoke. I need the black smoke!
No sir. There is nothing wrong with the truck I'm **** about changing oil and other fluids. Could just be the Texas heat. Thought about puting a intercooler.
The truck is great don't get me wrong. It belonged to an old man. He has alot of money just wanted a new one. I do alot of work for him on the side so he offered it to me.
I have not heard of any real great reviews from people running the Diablo after they have road in a chiped truck, I.E. something from TS, J Tipton, T Wildman, Bean.
The larger exhaust helped the spool up, thus burning the unused fuel, resulting in less smoke, but a slight power increase.
If ya really want smoke ditch the diable, get a TS 4 position, and get a fuel 7 on it.
On edit. also ditch the "cat" its not actually a "cat" there is no chemical reaction, its mearly a soot trap, soot is the visible carbon, that is smoke. the "cat" stops the smoke, and is VERY restrictive.
