help..alarm won't stop
just bought a 95 explorer and I put a newer battery in it and every time i connect the battery the alarm goes off and it shuts the ignition system down..any ideas???????is there a way to disable the alarm??

Gotta be a way. Is it an aftermarket system? Many will have a switch to disable the alarm. Also, find the alarm control box and trace the wires. Disconnect the power supply wire from it's source. Realize that depending on how it is configured, this could disable the car from starting to run. If it does, you'll have to disconnect the alarm system from where it interfers with the ignition.

Does turning on the ignition switch turn off the alarm? Is the horn sound continuously or is it honking on and off? Have you tried keying in the code for the door? Any and all other info you have would help.

problem solved..after pissin off the whole neighborhood with the alarm sounding..I tried hooking up the battery with the ignition key on and lo and behold that was it..funny that the manual or the chilton book wouldn't mention that...I just kept trying different things and stumbled on the answer..I hope this helps someone else who experiences the same problem.............now on to the front abs sensor problem..I saw some links here that looked pretty good..many thanks to all that replied dogg
