nerf bars
I have the Westin Platinum Series wheel-to-wheel step/nerf bar in black on my '02 CC. I spent a fair amount of time shopping on the internet, only to find that many of the sites with what sounded like good prices didn't pan-out due to the shipping expense.
Full length, wheel-to-wheel nerf bars tend to require freight shipping. That is not only pricey, they don't always deliver to a residential address as well ! So, I ended up getting mine thru a local 4WD shop. I found the price online at PepBoys. Places like PepBoys, Kragan, AutoZone, etc... don't have the shipping charge since their trucks deliver to their stores directly. True, some of that shipping expense is built in to the price at places like PepBoys, etc, but compare the total you'd pay online + shipping vs. what you'd pay at a place like PepBoys, etc and see if the difference is worth it?
I found the price online at pepboys.com and called my buddies at the 4WD shop I usually buy thru and they matched it. Done deal.
If you're not looking for a full length, wheel-to-wheel nerf bar for a CC, then shipping prices will vary. But. if you DO have a CC and you do want the wheel-to-wheel nerf bar, you may be disappointed in the strength of the bar past the cab. I noticed some flex (I only weigh 190 lbs), so I had a local welding shop make a brace for the back 1/3rd of the bar and we secured it to the underside of the truck where the back seat bolt comes through. Simple fix; bar is rigid throughout its entire length.(pix in my gallery)

I have them on my 04 SD and have been very pleased with the entry into the truck opposed to the running boards which I thought I wanted until I tried them. Mine came with the truck (oval ones) but I have seen them advertised at several sites online.
Good luck,
Jack
