Having trouble with Opera, it keeps messing up

Heres a screen shot of my issue (be warned it's 1024x768 in full resolution)
http://mysite.verizon.net/dslgirl/OperaMessinUp.gif

Usually when I'm surfing the internet on Opera, after about an hour or so everything seems to like go bank and blur. It usually takes a little while to happen but I can speed things up by like bringing up a radio show and listening while I surf. I was thinking that it might be resources but I don't know why. I have new computer with 1 gig of ram.

I don't want to switch back to IE or Firefox, I love Opera.

Looks like it might be a video problem. Are you using on-board video(shared ram crud) or a separate card? Might try looking to see if any updated video drivers are available. Is this a brand new problem on an existing machine?

I had the same problem on something else, so I just shut down my computer and re-booted.

That seem to fix my problem, but then again, it had nothing to do with Opera.

Maybe you need glasses? (kidding)

My video card is a seperate card, I have that integrated crap on the original equipment but tossed in another card so I can doing gaming. I've only had this problem since I started using Opera a about a month or two ago. I've never experienced it with anything else.

I was just thinking that maybe I have not disabled the old integrated video card. I'm going to double check that. If it's not that, then I am going to research some new drivers for my video card.

It just seems strange that it would only happen in Opera and nothing else.

Have you tried uninstalling/re-installing Opera? Could just be a bad install.

I know video drivers can cause some weird things to happen. So update those, then make sure the right stuff is selected. Reboot and surf for another couple hours, hopefully nothing will happen.

That pic looks more like software than hardware. It also looks like browser problems rather than video driver problems. -Just my 2¢

Looks to me like a GDI resource leak in Opera. It may not be freeing up handles allocated to it by Windows. If I were you I'd send a bug report to them. I'm using the latest version without any problems on XP.

Thanks for the responses guys! I took it to the extreme and just went ahead and reformated the computer, havn't had a problem since. I figured I'd rather spend an hour or two just reformating and reloading my software then spending 6 - 8 hours banging my head against the wall.
