The senders will go where the original senders are in your block.Hooking the volt gauge up will require some wiring. The instructions should have the diagrams to show you how to hook it up.
I used 4 of the 2 5/8" , white face , autometer gauges , and mounted them in groups of 2 on each side of the ash tray , i don't smoke and don't care about the ash tray so-----they are(left to right)---water temp--oil press.<<<<ash tray>>>>vacuum----voltage , the voltage is the only electrical gauge out of the four----I mounted them under the dash and just bent the mount up alittle so they were very easy to read , although i still have to look down alittle and too the right but its no biggie.........I absolutely love my big face gauges---I am constantly in touch with the how the motor is running----no guessing for this Texass Fat Boy-----I wish I had a temperature gauge for my girlfriend----I just don't know where to MOunt the Sending unit---Whoa Doggies----It sho is hot dis time of da year!!!!!fd :-X11
Here's a pic of my guage install. I have the 2 5/8 face Autometer guages as well. Mine are mechanical with the exception of the volt guage. I had to disassemble the whole dash in order to mount the guage pods. https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gallery/sizeimage.php?&photoid=6034&.jpg
That is an ideal location for gauges----I just didn't want to suffer as much as You did!!anyway , I'm happy with my under da dash mount---because all the cabeling is alot easier to hookup initially , but , even more importantly , IFFFF I have to diagnose a problemOOO I can just grab and pull it out from under the dash---I would rather not,I will not waste all that time dissasembling my whole dash just to find a loose connection , I would never get all that crap back in and hooked back up and functioning correctly , a real Witches hairnet.................fd
