F250 - 2003 Major AC problem please help!!
Hi,
I bought a 2003 F250 from a dealer here near Orlando in March. I noticed the AC was not working when at a stop (blew warm air) so took it back to them to fix. They would not even diag it...but to save a very long story here is the basics.
Another shop replaced the following. The number indicate what visit it was on to the best of my knowledge or memory:
1. evaporator and dryer
2. Compressor
3. system flush (3 point) said system blocked
4. orfice tubs and another part (sorry don't know what)
5. condencser
6. compressor again said it was the wrong one...
7. Low pressure switch
8. High pressure switch
9. said they don't know what it wrong take it else where
Up until the time they did number 3...it blew cool/cold when moving on MAX AC, and warm on standstill. Once they did #3, it started cycling cold, cool, warm, back to cool, back to warm with and sometimes actually cold when driving and warm when sitting still.
After number 4...it blows cool/cold at stand still but cycles cool to warm when driving.
after number 6... it blows cold/cool/warm (mostly cool and warm) in very quick cycles when moving...like will change many times in a minute, and also cycles when standing still though not as fast.
After 7&8 ...still cycles but now rarley cold.. cool and alot of warm. It is now September and the truck has been in the shop no less than 15-20 times for this issue.
I simpley have no idea what to do at this point. I have had the clutch fan replaced along with what appairs to be the entire AC system and have a bigger mess then when I started. It has been to 3 ford dealers to be diag. and this company, who has been paid for the work already, says they can not find what they report...and all granted say it is something different. I am due to take it to yet another place for diag, but was wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions as to what might be the problem???? or has anyone experienced anything like this??? Do super dutys have vaccume???
thanks for any help you can offer...
