radiator change
what radiator has most of you guys been using i have a 53 with 289 that will have air motor is stock other than 470 lift cam dont really wont to pay 600.00 for one from griffin or walker or will the stock one keep me cool it was for a 215 six banger.

Your stock radiator should be fine. I run a cammed 351C with a stock radiator and it is plenty. Your 289 won't produce heat much different from the stock motor and less than my motor.
Get your stock radiator boiled out and pressure tested at a local shop. You should be fine. If your stock radiator is shot, look at recoring it or buying a replacement stocker. Those will be the least expensive options.
Now, if you want to add "bling" to the underhood look (aluminum, double cross-flow, etc), the sky is the limit on cost, but it will be pretty!
