My firefox doesn't play WMV videos. I click on 'Download Missing Plug-In', but it doesnt find any. Is there a way that I can play WMV videos in Firefox?
Check the settings in Tools>Options>Downloads. You'll see a window at the bottom and make sure that the extension for WMV isn't checked with "save to disk". Also, click on the "Plug-Ins" button at the bottom and make sure that there is a check mark enabling the plug in.
Will they play in Windows media player? If so specify that they be handled by that program when they come up. Otherwise you will need to make sure your windows media player is up to date. Have you checked to see if that plug-in is enabled? You will find a listing under: Tools/Options/Downloads/Plug-ins
The file should play in windows media player and have nothing to do with firefox. The only plug ins you should have to find for firefox is a quick time program. Like Torque 1st said you may need to update your media player, the newest one it media player 10.
No, some websites play WMV files in their pages. I ckecked the Tools -> PLug-ins, and there isnt one for WMV...I'll go check out the Firfox site and upgrade media player, thanks.
