I just looked at a F-250. The owner claims it to be a 75, but has a 79 front grill and headlights. Are these interchangeable?
Also it has a flat bed on it. The bed is on wood blocks to clear the frame. The frame is higher above the axle, but drops to the rear and towards the cab. Is this also normal?
Is the xfer case mounted behind the tranny with a drive shaft connecting the two and does it have conventional power steering or does it have the power assist type system, where the pitman arm is connected to a control arm\valve with 4 separate hydraulic lines connected to a ps pump and a slave cylinder mounted on the frontaxle-----people interchange front grills all the time so i wouldn't pay much attention to that------------ford moved the xfer case UP and mated it to the tranny in midyear 77 and converted the ps system to a regular type system in mid 77 as well...,fd
for the most part, 73-79 F150-250's are interchangeable, this goes for grill, fenders, doors, gauge cluster, etc. If anybody says otherwise, they can come down here, look at a 77 f250, and then look at the 2 F150's we used for parts
