cab rust
Hey. I posted this earlier in the bodywork form, but i figured this might be a better place. I am going to repaint my 77 f250 inside and out here in the next few months. My dad put all new doors, fenders, a hood and box on in '92 and they are all still in great shape. The cab is in good shape, no rust on the outside. Now on the inside its starting to go. Theres rust under the drip rails, not alot, but there is some bubbling along the seams. And some rust under and around the front and rear windows, but thats not a big problem. Its the drip rails that are troubling me. Has anyone removed them before? I know its only spot welds, but my concern is what i might find underneath. A couple friends have suggested splicing in a new roof/upper cab section, but the rest of my cabs in good condition. Im not going to use por 15 on it, i want to eliminate the bubbling and bring it back as close to factory condition as possible. And thoughts or advice would be great.
