Electric Choke
When I first start my truck in the morning it revs up to 1500 rpm. I can see when I play with the mechanical levers by the choke that the throttle is being pulled back by the choke mechanism when the engine is cold. How do I adjust the amount that the throttle cable is pulled back?
My warm idle is fine and the truck runs very well other than the high idle when cold.

I don't know exactly which carb you have, but on the choke side of the carb, is you look below the choke on the throttle shaft, there will be an adjusting screw. You may have to open the throttle wide open to get s screwdriver to it ( engine OFF, of course ). Back it out 1/2 turn at a time until you get it where you want it, preferably around 1000 - 1200 rpm.
