16" wheels--center lip?
I have a '79 F-250 Camper Special which still has the original 16.5" wheels and an almost-new set of 9.75-16.5s. I was playing with the idea of putting 16" wheels and a set of LT235/85s on it later on. While looking online for wheels, I noticed that there are wheels listed with and without center lip. I didn't notice anything special about either the 15" rims on the half-tons I've had, or the 16.5s on my truck--what's this lip, and if it makes a difference, which one do I need?
Another question: is there any reason I couldn't put 16" wheels on my truck? Just from glancing under it, it looks like they'd clear the brakes okay.
