I am sure this has been covered somewhere before, but I need to know if it is possible to shorten a manual steering column on an auto transmition truck to fit with a newly installed power steering gear?
I have a 1970 that had manual steering until this afternoon. Now it has a ford power steering box, but the 77 power steering column I was promised fell through. Do I have to look for another one or can I modify my existing one with out too much trouble?
Thanks for all the help you guys have given me so far, it is really starting to pay off!
