More boost question.

Here she goes.
just returned from having the new 4in all the way back installed, sounds great nice and smooth, but like you said on my last post ,I might loose a little power coming from a stand still, well you were all right, lost a little ,but mid range and up is great. with the big napa filter , 4in all the way and a hypertec prog i just need to know will it hurt to unplug the waste gate? now is a heck of a time to ask because I already have and my low end power is back , boost to 26to27 right quickand a little turbo stall with my foot in it pretty hard, so i backed out, egt's or 175 lower runs good but again what if any is it going to hurt? and will the waste gate stick in whatever position if i leave it unhooked all the time? thanks guys for all the info.

oh yea i am pulling a 9000lb 5th once are twice a month, so help me out there too , shoud i plug the waste gate back up when pulling?

you can take the wast gate vac. motor off and tighten it up 2 turns ,that should give you around 2 psi of boost.

hello I-m tech

thanks for the reply, I am not sure if i am understanding you when you say 2 psi of boost. I am not wanting more or less . I am just concerned, if what i have taking place is ok or not and if I need to hook waste gate back up. sorry if i did not make myself clear. again thanks for the help.

Or just unplug the wastegate actuator (red vacuum line) and plug it up with a bolt or something??

It's not going to hurt anything leaving it unhooked all the time. If you get a real bad compressor stall with it loaded putting it back on may help some, but for me it's a better fix to change the compressor wheel and leave the wastegate off.
