transfer case oil change

transfer case oil change

What type of fluid to use and is it just drain and fill. The only time I have done this is on a 82 f250 and thats all there was to it.

It is only drain and fill. It is automatic transmission fluid - I switched to synthetic. Check your manual to be sure you adhere to required specifications.

Ok Just Whent To Autozone And They Said Not To Use Any Brand Of Oil Except Motorcraft. I Was Wanting To Use Synthetic In Mobel Or Something Any Thoughts About Autozone Words Or Just Go To Ford And Get It From There!

I Just Did Went To There Web Site And The Only Way I Can Get Redline Is To Order It. Any Other Brands That Will Be Ok!

You can use any brand of Mercon rated transmission fluid. I still don't believe you should use Mercon V or a dual rated fluid. Yes, you can change over to synthetic. One word of warning, make sure you can get the top plug out to refill it before you pull the bottom plug to drain it.
