No current to the coil
I´m having a little trouble with my ´84, I have an 78(I belive) 400 motor in it and I'm in the process of rewiring the whole car.
My problem is that I thought I had wired everything for the hood up, still it only starts wont run, and there is no current to the coil. And to add to my problem the former owner has changed and "fixed" wires in such strange ways that I can't always fallow the diagrams in my Haynes manual.
Could someone tell me the "route" of the current, from battery to the coil, what wires need to be connected to get this current and such.
Hope I'm making sense here, ANY help is greatly appreciated.

I was wondering though if someone could tell me what wires originally pluc up to the coil, that is, if someone could give me the colors and sizes of the origanl wires relating to the picture subford gave me.
The resistor is in a wire in these old cars right, it is not a "boxed" resistor that the wires hook up to.
As said before, Any help greatly appreciated

Coil + side = R-LG
Yes, it is a resistor wire at 1.05 to 1.15 Ohms
That's what the book says, but just looking at them I would say the Coil - side is Black with green dots and the + side is Red (maroon) with a green stripe.
The wire from the Relay to the splice with the R-GR is BR and should splice before it gets to the coil.
