chassis noise problem solved--
thought id pass this one on in case someone else has a similar issue--
my 2002 f150 4.6l had a scrapping noise from underneath the vehicle..this was especially evident driving the truck slowly on a narrow road with tress on the roadside to reflect the sound.
turned out to be a loose emergency brake with dust on the brake rotors..dealer tightened the brake and cleaned the rotors..no more noise !!
