Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Yes you do have to wash it often to make it look its best, but that's something you should be doing no matter what color you have. Black just reminds you more.
If you have a really good wax on it all you have to do is hose it down and chamois it.
I just started using Meguiar's Quik Detailer spray after each wash. The paint looks incredible.
Since the truck is new, I'm gonna guess someone took it through a car wash. Black trucks and carwashes do not seem a good combination.
Hand wash with the two bucket method, and use micro fiber mitts and towels.
Two bucket system means keep your soapy water in one bucket, and rinse in a clean water bucket, so you don't grind the dirt back into the trucks finish.
Always dry it with a clean micro fiber towel.
If a towel hit's the dirt, or concrete, toss it in the 'to be washed' bucket. Don't reuse it.
Use high quality car wash solution, and wax it with NXT, two or three coats, applied a day apart, and I think you will find you love the black truck.
If the truck has not been scratched too bad, but is still covered with the rail dust from shipping, or any other film or dirt, Clay it. 10 bucks worth of clay follow the directions, and the truck will look a lot better than new.
If you have small scratches, some Scratch X or any of the common brands can bring it right back.
Then clay and wax er up.
Heck, how many times will you have a new black truck to keep pretty?
I do 'practice what I preach..'
This is a T-Bird that I did a few months ago, been parked outside, and been in the desert since 92.

Washed, scratchx'ed, one coat of NXT.

Heck, even my silver truck looks newer now than when I bought it a year ago..

Your black truck could put both of these to shame with a few hours work...

Is this your first black vehicle?
