Remote start/ Tach wire

Im installing a remote start system on my 2000 F150 4.6. I need to find the tach wire, its "supposed" to be a pink/white wire in a 3 pin connector under the air intake, infront of the engine by the fan. ITS NOT THERE and im going nuts. I have check every wire harness/ connector in that area let alone the entire engine compartment. Has any one else have problems finding this wire?? Please help!!!

The only pink/white wire I found was feeding the coil-on-plug coil for #2 cylinder. If the 4.6 is numbered like the old Ford engines, that would be the 2nd coil back on the passenger side of the engine.

Thumbs up

Try looking for a white wire with a pink stripe. My tack wire was above the master cylinder. 2001 ford E-150 5.4.
