Where is the tach wire??

Hi All,

I am trying to help my dad find the tach wire in his 2006 f-250 Super Duty. He installed a bulldog security alarm and everything works except the remote start which needs connection to the TACH wire. On there website it says:

On DIESEL Engines the TACH wire is a LIGHT GREEN/WHITE wire in a 5-Pin Harness held up with WHITE tape located behind the Parking Brake Release.

We have searched like crazy, but can't find this wire. Anyone know where this might be? Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Thank you,
-Allen

Clean Tach Out (CTO) wire is under the dash in the customer access bundle of wires. You may need to remove the PDJB to see them.

Here is a link with pictures and more detailed explanation.

Thank you for the quick response and link. Could you tell me what PDJB stands for?

Power Distribution Junction Box. Just remove the four screws and pull it forward.
