Bogging Down After Parked Idling

Parked the truck with AC running for 5 minutes to pick up the mail. Went to back up and it felt like moving in sand. Checked the Emergency brake - no. Got out and checked the hubs - OK. Wasn't running over anything either. Backed on out and there was a sudden jump, sort of like making a tight turn on pavement with the 4X4 in and hubs locked. Then everything was normal. Has not repeated itself. I suspect a draggy brake or brakes but can't imagine why that would happen. Any suggestions to investigate will be welcome; I wouldn't want something to fail on the highway.
Thanks
Warren

Warren about the only thing left to do now that the symptoms are gone is to get the truck up in the air and start carefully inspecting everything. Brakes, wheel bearings, driveshaft, etc.

Did you apply the emergency brake when parked? If so, that is wher I would start...cable may be siezing up. The other area may be a bad brake hose to one of the front calipers. A blocked brake hose will keep a brake caliper applied...
I have seen them lock up brake calipers to the point they will not release at all.

Thanks guys. Come to think of it, the wheels were turned sharp left in the parking spot. I'll check for a possible kinked hose.

You probably will not see anything on the outside. That is why it is missed quite often. The hose separates inside without any outside indication.

If it was a front hose the truck would have pulled one direction or the other, If it was the hose from the frame to the rearend housing that it would apply evenly.

Check your tranny fluid. That's what mine was doing right before the torque converter seal blew. Watch your tranny for leaks..
