The clips are broken off the back of my door panels in a number of places so the panels don't fit back on very well. I hate to drill the door and put visible screws in through the front of the panel.
Does anyone have a good solution for tightening these up without replacing them?
Are your clips broken or are the places where the clips attach broken? If the clips are broke you can go to the junk yard and get some of another truck or go to your local parts house and get replacement clips. If your door panels are broke i would suggest looking in to replacements or if you can get lucky to find decent ones at a junk yard.

If you are talking about the wire with a piece of rubber on them style clips > Stop right there.
Ford in their infinite wisdom changed styles to a white plastic push in style clips.
The head on them is about the size of a quarter.
Look in the H.E.L.P. section AT YOU AUTO PARTS STORE.

If you are really cheap, and don't wan't any out of pocket expenses, get a 1/16" drill bit, drill holes, and use sheet rock screws. Works like a charm. (though not pretty)

I was going to suggest self tappers and fender washers...
Bill, you caught me again. I get lost in these forums and overlook the date most of the time. I blame the "Related topics" box at the ends of the threads.
