HAs anyone tried putting kick panels in a 77 f-150 reg cab? If you have how did you attach the to the truck? I tried the Audio forum but no one answered.
Thanks
David
i put kick panels in my 79 reg cab (i don't believe there are any differences in them); i think there were five holes drilled around the perimeter of the panel with sheet metal type screws (i'm pretty sure they were original). i traced my originals on thick cardboard and cut carpet to fit and glued them on the cardboard. i'll have to check as to exactly where the screws go.
my e-brake comes out from underneath the dash and has nothing to do with the kick panel. my panels just slid in behind (off to the side) of the brake. yours is connected directly to the kick panel ? if thats the case sorry i can't remember seeing w/carpet.
the emergency brake is attached brhind the dash but it is close enough to the kick panel that the speakers will hit it. a fried suggested cuttiong the pedal lever to make it shorter.
thanks
David
