First Tank = 18 MPG !

My new (to me) 2001 F250 w/ 6 sp manual just returned 18 MPG with a combination of city, highway, towing a boat and a few miles in 4WD. All high way was CC of 60 MPH. WOW, my Jeep Grand Cherokee couldn't do that! And at $2.79 per gallon to boot, while gas is still $2.99! Love that PSD! When you drive that 6 sp easy, it stays under 2000 RPM throughout the whole shift range, from 0 - 60 MPH. Awesome! Now if I could get B20 for $2.00....

That is the best way to get good milage out of these trucks. Go easy on the throttle and let the torque do the work.

Welcome! I'm glad to see another realize that there's nothing quite like a diesel! Now, if only fuel was $.74 gal. like it was when I bought my '01. Those were happy days!!!
