So I'm driving into work this AM in my 2003 5.4 Expedition, doing about 45 mph and she just shuts off.... Electrical power stayed on radio and everything stayed on, and I could get the engine to crank but it would not fire. Screwed around for about 20 minutes checking fuses and connectors and nothing.....
Pull out the owners manual and read about a fuel pump cutoff switch in the back, give it a push and she starts right up, go about 1/2 mile and she dies again.
I'm thinking this safety switch is the culprit, but how do I confirm it's the problem. Hate to throw $$$ and parts into it...
It would seem to me as if you found the culprit. Are you out of warranty?
Yep just out of warranty, and the lease is up in less than 60 days, I can't wait to get rid of this POS. The 2000 Expedition I had before this one was a tank, the 2003 has been a turd.......
