Homemade trailer

I want to make a utility trailer using half of a F150. Not to hard I think, question is where can I get the neck part??? I want to weld that part to the frame and I think it would be done.
Any suggestions would be great!

Couple suggestions:
1) Don't use half the truck - cut the frame right behind the front wheels, where it arches up. This can be done without removing the cab. This gives you about 3 or 4 additional feet of frame in front of the box.
2) Weld a crossmember between the rails, 4" channel works great. Make your "A" frame out of 4" channel also, weld on a good hitch, add a good jack, and you're done.

The added frame length works wonders for towing - allows you to carry spare there, toolbox, whatever. I added a pipe rack at the crossmember (removable) at the same height as the box. This allows hauling 12 or 16 foot long lumber, pipe, etc. JMHO.

I've done similar, but the only difference is that I used the frame rails as the channel, rather than add in to it. I notch the frame rails right in front of the rear cab mount cross, and leave the sides of the fram intact. With the frame notched, you can easily bend the rails to each other. Then you can either run a tube fronm the cab cross out to the hitch, or just set it in the end where you will mount the hitch to. Put some flat plates across where you notched the frame, and it will be strong enough for the job. You still end up with a decent length toungue, but don't have the extra width at the front, which depending on need is good or bad, but I like the better pivot space. Don't make the tongue too short though, as stated, cut at the point the frame starts to turn up for the front axle. Cut the frame too short and it won't tow as well, and truns way too fast.
