Hey every one im new to the the forums and in need of help. I have an 05 escape xlt and the airbag warning light is on and will flash many times during start up. I want to think that it would be somthing simple but that never the case when the light is flashing. I hope that i could aviod a trip to the dealership being that they dont know what they are doing and will probly mess it up worse as i have heard. Any help would b great. thnx thnx...
does it have less than 36000mi on it ? if so then take it back to the dealer it will be fixed for free thats what u paid for. you dont have to just take it to the dealer where u bought if from u can take it to any ford place u want.
Mine did the same thing at about 25,000 miles. I took it to the dealer and they looked at the computer and found no errors. Since I brought it in b4 the warranty expires, if it happens again, they will fix it. It stopped flashing after they looked at it.
1) As previously mentioned, check all plugs. Something may be loose
2) Check your fuses. Another may be loose
3) Wait until next oil change interval and see the dealer
4) Or, just see the dealer. As said, if still under warranty ......
checked all that wiring under the pass. seat and did not find anything i guess i will have to take it out to dealership it is all under warranty though so im not going to stress. Other then airbag fault im am very happy with my escape and am going to continue to buy ford products. Im very happy to now be a member to the forums thank you for all of your help!
