Airbag light
My airbag light flashes when first start the vehicle and then stays on. I had this problem before and took it in. But now I am not under my orginal warranty, just the 5 year and 50,000 for the safety equipment. They said if it is something not covered by the safety equipment warranty that I had to pay 70 bucks for the diagnostic. Anyone know what the light flashes mean. I figured it was some kind of code. Any ideas??

The light staying on is part of the safety system. The sensor is probably defective. You will probably hot have to pay. In any case, the reliability of the safety system is far more important than the $. Get it checked as soon as possible.

My airbag light was flashing for a little while and was even a solid light untill someone suggested to just "tighten it". The sensors I was told to try to tighten was under the driver's seat and the passenger's seat. Did was they suggested and viola, it worked...the light doesn't come on any more. I just used my hands to put them back in place...if that doesn't work then go to an auto repair shop that you know and trust and ask them to see what the problem is.

Yeah, you are right those flashes at start up is that the car is giving you a trouble code and then is stops flashing after it gives the code and just stays on as a reminder there is a fault with the airbags. you can figure out what exactly is wrong with the airbags by getting the code to do this all you have to do is count the number of times it flashes EX. if it flashes 2 times stops and then flashes 6 times thats a code 26. now all you have to do is figure out what problem that code is. good luck...
